Motorola has just begun to roll out a new Android Wear build to the second generation Moto 360 and the Moto 360 Sport. Carrying the build number MWD49B, this is a minor update that comes with multiple improvements to the Moto Body app, in addition to the usual security patches and various tweaks.
According to the official change log by Motorola, the Android Wear build MWD49B for the Moto 360 and the Moto 360 Sport smartwatches has the following highlights:
  • Moto Body enhanced calorie calculation - now taking heart rate into account
  • Moto Body heart rate continuous measure - no longer needed to tap to re-scan while in the app
  • security updates - Google's Android security updates until May 1st
  • stability improvements - no details mentioned
Unfortunately, it looks like the first generation Moto 360 no longer receives any official updates. The MWD49B firmware update rolls out gradually, but those who did not get the notification and are in a hurry can always go to Settings and check for it manually.
